INSTRUCTOR: Madeline Fine
Madeline comes from a long line of metalworkers and has been designing and fabricating jewelry in metal since 1971. She attended MassArt and couldn’t afford to buy jewelry and was enticed by silver and the flame.
Surface decoration and texture is something she is passionate about. Her jewelry is whimsical, abstract, and wearable. Some inspiration comes from nature. Much of the texture comes from nature: leaves, blossoms, and fabrics.
For fifteen years she lead workshops in beading and knotting in the Metro Boston area: from Brookline Art Center to Assabet Valley, to Sharon, Wellesley and Boston Center for Adult Education. With her broad background in creating and fabricating her own line of jewelry plus repair work she knows it is possible to use what we have to re-create and have something new.
