EXECUTIVE SESSION – LITIGATION

 

 

 

Proposed Executive Session for the purpose of discussing a complaint brought against public employees on or about August 2, 2019, pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A, S.21(a)(1); and for the purpose of discussing strategy with respect to litigation in the matter of Juana Baez, et al. v. Town of Brookline, et al., USDC C.A. No. 17-CV-10661-GAO if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares, pursuant to M.G.L. c.30A, S.21(a)(3).

PUBLIC COMMENT

Public Comment period for citizens who requested to speak to the Board regarding Town issues not on the Calendar.

Up to fifteen minutes for public comment on matters not appearing on this Calendar shall be scheduled each meeting. Persons wishing to speak may sign up in advance beginning on the Friday preceding the meeting or may sign up in person at the meeting. Speakers will be taken up in the order they sign up. • Joseph A. Rastellini & Carmela Rastellini d/b/a T. Anthony Restaurant at 1016 Commonwealth Ave.  Juke Box/Recorded Music Monday – Sunday 7:00am – 2:00am.

• Angelo Kassab d/b/a Shawarma King at 1383 Beacon Street. Radio, Recorded Music and Televisions Monday – Sunday 9:00am – 2:00am.

• Glocal LLC d/b/a Sushi Momento at 399 Chestnut Hill Ave. Radio and Televisions Monday – Sunday 11:30am – 12:00am.

• Brookline Village Burrito Corporation, d/b/a Boca Grande Taqueria at 3 Harvard Street is requesting approval for a New Entertainment License. They wish to play recorded music in the restaurant Monday – Saturday 11:00am – 7:00pm.

• Bright Life View LLC d/b/a Migaku at 238 Washington Street is requesting approval for a New Entertainment License. They wish to play music from a radio in the restaurant Monday – Sunday 11:00am – 11:00pm.

• David Dragani d/b/a Pizzeria Dante at 415 Harvard Street is requesting approval for a New Entertainment License. He wishes to play music from a radio, recorded music, and display a television in the restaurant Monday – Sunday 11:30am – 10:00pm.

• Sahib Group Inc. d/b/a Shan-a-Punjab at 500 Harvard Street is requesting approval for a New Entertainment License. They wish to play music via a radio and have one television on display.  The hours requested are Monday – Sunday 11:00am – 11:00pm.

• Live Alive Café, LLC at 888 Commonwealth Ave. is requesting approval for a New Entertainment License. They wish to play music from a radio Monday through Friday 7:00am – 10:00pm and Saturday & Sunday 8:00am – 10:00pm.

• One Chief Emergency Telecommunications Dispatcher

• Two Emergency Telecommunications Dispatchers

Marijuana Mitigation Fund Positions:

• Three  Parking Control Officers – two positions contingent on the closing of Town Meeting

• Four  Patrol Officers – three positions contingent on the closing of Town Meeting

Question of authorizing the hiring of seven applicants to be Student Officers for the upcoming Cambridge Police academy beginning on January 6, 2020.
