Dalia Cohen, Nutrition Director at Springwell, will be presenting a special program on October 25, 2019 at 1 pm titled, The New Nutrition Facts Food Label at the Brookline Senior Center (93 Winchester Street). Springwell, in coordination with the Council on Aging serves lunch at the Senior Center Monday- Friday at 12:00 pm and invites anyone in the community age 60 or older to attend.
The FDA has mandated changes to the nutrition label on packaged foods. All products manufactured by 2021 will be required to use the new nutrition facts label, and many companies have already begun making the shift. Ms. Cohen will lead an informative discussion on why this change is taking place and what it means to consumers.

Meals are available to individuals 60 years of age older, who may also bring a spouse or dependent with a disability of any age. There is a $2 suggested donation, which is anonymous and voluntary. No one will be turned away if they do not donate.
