Dear Parents, Guardians and Staff,
Please be advised that the last day of school for the 2018-2019 school year will be Friday, June 21, 2019.* As you will recall, we had one snow day this winter.
Students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon on the last day of school and no lunch will be served.
Massachusetts regulations require schools to be in session for 180 days. Each year, we are required to develop a calendar that builds-in 5 additional days at the planned end of the school year to accommodate any “snow days”. This year, the 5 additional days were set for June 21, 24, 25, 26 and 27.
While extremely unlikely, if we have to close school due to a weather, health, or safety emergency between April 1 and June 1, state regulations require that we use a corresponding extra day from the originally planned “snow days” in order to meet the 180-day requirement.
